Join the closed testing phase

Margin for Error is a word association puzzle game. Each round gives you a clue and a hidden answer. Letters are revealed over time, and your score is better when you solve the word earlier.

For this test, install the app, open it, pick any mode that looks interesting, and try to finish a game. Notice where you feel confused, stuck, surprised, or annoyed, and flag bad word or clue pairs as they happen.

There is no tutorial in this build yet. One is coming soon, so if the first game leaves you unsure what a button, clue, timer, or mode is doing, that is useful feedback.

You can play solo, send a completed game as a challenge for friends to beat, or play live multiplayer when another tester is online.

Start with the iOS TestFlight link if you are on iPhone or iPad. Android testers should join the group first, then use the Play testing invite when it is available.

Installation

iPhone and iPad
Open the TestFlight link, accept the invite, install the latest build, then open Margin for Error from TestFlight or your home screen.
Android
Join the tester group first. If Play Store says you are not eligible yet, wait a few minutes and try the invite link again.
First launch
If the app crashes, stalls, or asks for unexpected permissions before you can play, that is high-value feedback.

When You Start

Pick a mode and finish a game
Classic is the simplest place to start, but choose whatever catches your eye. Because there is no tutorial yet, note anything you had to guess.
Try another mode if you have time
Anagram, Vortex, Cipher, and Cascade each change how the answer is revealed. If one does not make sense, that is useful to know.
Use friends or multiplayer when possible
If another tester is around, try adding them, sending a challenge, or starting a live game. If not, solo play is still useful.
